Emma has over 19 years’ experience in the Financial Services industry, working on both sides of the sourcing partnership. Emma have demonstrable experience across the three lines of defence, from sales to oversight, strategy to change, for both direct and indirect outsourced arrangements. She is customer centric in her approach, but remains focused on the needs of the business, demands of the regulators and desires of the individuals.
In her current role as Head of Outsourced Services Assurance, she is accountable for the development of Outsourced Risk Management Strategies, Policies & Frameworks. She is also responsible for providing support, and guidance, on all aspects of operational risk management for outsourced services, including promoting and developing a strong risk management culture across the end to end value chain (including third parties). Her role also entails interaction with their various Regulators.
Emma is passionate about identifying and harnessing talent and, as a result, has led successful teams, at all levels, within organisations. She acts as a mentor, both internally and externally, within, and outside of, the Financial Services sector. Through her belief in the need to maximise talent pools, and raise diversity up through strategic and corporate agendas, so that we can grow and sustain our industry, she is also a member of the International Women of Excellence.
Additionally, she believes good corporate citizenship is the responsibility of all, and, as such, she is heavily engaged in the Banks Responsible Business programme.
