The UK sourcing market is vast and spilling over with opportunity.
Across Europe, the sourcing market experienced strong growth in the third quarter of 2016, expanding by more than twenty percent on the previous quarter to a total contract value of over €3 billion. In the UK specifically, activity edged up 17% compared to the same quarter in 2015. The outlook remains positive, with further growth forecasted for the sourcing market in the months to come.
Our research shows that 60 per cent of UK sourcing buyers are looking to expand the scope of their outsourcing over the next three years. Globalisation is making it easier to do business across borders and the impact of the evolving digital landscape means that the industry is no longer dominated by large, long-standing and established service providers, so there has never been a better time to engage with the UK market.
Despite the growth in available business, however, many new suppliers are finding it increasingly difficult to break into the UK sourcing market, in what is becoming an increasingly complex and fast-moving environment.
That is where we come in.
The Global Sourcing Association (GSA) is the industry association and professional body for the global sourcing industry, and home of the Global Sourcing Standard. Its overriding objective is the ongoing development and dissemination of the Standard and supporting portfolio of qualifications in order to improve the benefits from, and positive reputation and therefore size, of the global sourcing industry.
In our 30 year history we have become a trusted ambassador to the UK sourcing community and beyond, specialising in market engagement events, award programmes, research, literature, training and qualifications, all within the spectrum of sourcing.
With an ever-growing membership of 360+ corporate members, a calendar of 70+ events and a database of sourcing professionals reaching approximately 18,000 contacts, it’s not hard to see why the GSA is perfectly positioned to help service providers succeed in the UK sourcing market.
