Council Members


Constanze Nuesperling

Constanze has over twenty years of experience in the Shared Services, Outsourcing and Global Business Services industry.

In her current role with Avient, a US based specialty chemicals company, she is heading Avient’s newly founded Global Business Services. Constanze transitioned to Avient from Clariant, where she was responsible for value realisation from Hire to Retire outsourcing partnerships and Shared Services. Other industry experience includes Constanze’s role as Head of Partnerships with Belgian Biopharma UCB and her time with Pitney Bowes Europe, managing a large BPO Finance initiativeDuring the first eight years of her career, she worked as management consultant for A.T.Kearney and Accenture.

Constanze is particularly interested in the value which automation can bring in a GBS environment, and specifically in validating that the business case objectives from Robotics Process Automation initiatives are achieved over time. 

She holds a B.A. in International Relations from Brown University and a Ph.D. in Political Science from the London School of Economics.


Joe Williams 

Joe has been involved in Strategic Sourcing for the past 10 years, working on the buy side across a variety of roles, countries and continents. Joe currently runs Supplier Governance for Aviva Group Centre and Central Services and has been chair of the GSA work stream for attracting and developing talent.


Kerry Hallard

Kerry is a visionary industry leader, keynote speaker, diversity and sustainability ambassador

Kerry is the driving force behind the GSA, whose mission is to grow the reach and positive reputation of the technology and business services sourcing industry globally through the development of best practice, standards, qualifications, thought leadership and learning from across the industry. Passionate about the importance of mutually beneficial business partnerships, Kerry is frequently called upon to speak on the challenges and opportunities for the global technology and business services industry and profession.



Sunita Hirani

Sunita possess several years of comprehensive, first-hand experience and demonstrable knowledge in Supplier Relationship Management (SRM). Sunita is immensely passionate about SRM and holds vast demonstrable strategic supplier operations and management experience, stakeholder engagement experience and ability to build, develop and maintain SRM frameworks. Sunita has confidence in the potential of trusted, strategic SRM and therefore strongly advocate supplier enablement for innovation and collaboration, which shares and seeks diverse opinions and ideas.


Terry Walby

Terry is Founder and CEO of Blue Prism Cloud, an award-winning AI software as a service (SaaS) company whose intelligent automation platform provides a pool of “digital workers” delivered from the cloud, which not only improve workforce productivity but provide a foundation for digital transformation, allowing organizations and the people that work for them to do and achieve more...

Joanne Webber

Jo is Vice President in the Client Solutions Team of Teleperformance responsible for the relationship and development of major clients.

Before joining TP, Jo worked for npower for over 15years (10 of which were working with TP as a client).  She brings with her not only energy market experience but also a strong relationship management ethic both operationally and commercially. 

A major part of Jo’s contribution is in shaping and delivering her client’s strategic objectives via their outsourced estate.    Working in pure collaboration with strategic partners both onshore and globally, to deliver a single people culture on behalf of customers, sheis instrumental in creating the value all parties are aligned to.  As a result of this collaborative working, won prestigious GSA awards; Transformation Project of the Year,  Best Far Shore Team, Best Contribution to the Reputation of Outsourcing and Buyer of the Year.



Philip Allery

Philip Allery is a solicitor and has worked in the outsourcing space for many years. He remembers the days when it was called “contracting out”! He is the author of two books including Tolley’s Effective Outsourcing: Practice and Procedure. He has worked extensively in the post signature world of outsourcing spending six years as the head of a legal function in Phoenix Life... 


Graeme Matheson

Graeme has worked in contact centres and outsourcing for over 25 years holding a range of roles on both the supplier and buyer side in telecoms, financial services and retail. A passionate believer in the importance of delivering excellent customer experience regardless of channel or geography he has spent his career supporting and enabling multi-channel contact strategies to provide great customer service, every time.



Simon Lightman

Simon is a specialist sourcing and technology lawyer at global law firm Eversheds Sutherland.   He has over 15 years’ experience assisting both buyers and sellers on strategic sourcings across multiple sectors including financial services, retail, FMCG, telecoms and aviation.


Before returning to private practice in 2017, Simon spent time working in-house as a legal director and divisional commercial director at a major BPO provider.


Simon regularly advises on the restructuring and renegotiation of legacy sourcing arrangements and advising on complex sourcings, software licensing, cloud and other “as a service” technology and technology enabled arrangements.  He also advises on contracting for new and disruptive technologies including automation and artificial intelligence. 


Simon’s goal for his time on the council is to challenge the ways in which we approach contracts, from avoiding adversarial approaches to negotiations to promoting alternatives ways to documenting arrangements, including through the use of ‘design thinking’ and visual elements in contracts.


Simon speaks regularly on sourcing, technology and data subjects, and has a particular interest in robotics as well as financial services regulation on outsourcing.


Ian Puddy

Ian is now an independent Consultant who was formally the Gartner VP responsible for EMEA Sourcing and Infrastructure practice. He has spent most of his career living and working across Europe with both private and public sector clients. His extensive and diverse experience has been gained through leading large-scale, multi-faceted and complex Transformation Programmes, mergers and acquisitions and sourcing initiatives often impacting the organisation, the business and the supporting technology. He has a keen interest in ensuring clients have practical and “built to change” contracts in place with their suppliers of IT services.
