So much more than a commercial conference: We aim to leave a legacy with the creation of 1000 new jobs in South Africa as a result of our Global Sourcing Summit 2018
Here at the GSA, it is our intent to deliver programmes that surpass both the expectations and demands of our community. Our first ever Global Sourcing Summit will of course provide crucial information about the current and predicted future directions of our industry, whilst sharing experiences and launching the very latest best practice Standard and guidelines. However, we want the benefits of the Summit to permeate far further than solely the microcosm of our existing community and thus it is our intention to leave behind a legacy, namely the creation of 1000 new jobs into the business services industry in South Africa - as a direct result of the conference.
Working with our partner BPeSA we are delighted to have enlisted the support of South African Royalty in this quest:
- Trevor Manuel, highly influential politician who has served under all Presidencies from Mandela to Ramaposa, will be joining us as a keynote speaker, sharing his vision for South Africa as a business services partner
- Patricia de Lille, founder of the Independent Democrats (ID) and currently elected Mayor of Cape Town will make the opening address and promote the virtues of this fabulous and burgeoning region
- Zondwa Mandela, Founding Director of the Mandela Legacy Foundation (and grandson of Nelson and Winnie) will share his magnificent stories from the past and this views on the future opportunities for the country
It is our desire is to demonstrate the very real business opportunities South Africa presents; opportunities that have already seen investment from firms such as NBrown and City and Guilds – both of whom will be sharing their very real experiences of working with South Africa. We aim to create new and long lasting corporate relationships and bring new investment into South Africa ultimately bringing employment and thereby improving the lives of many South African families – facilitating family-wide relocation out of townships, whilst simultaneously helping businesses succeed and grow using a blended global footprint.
South Africa is building an ever-increasing positive reputation as a prominent service delivery destination. Seeing is believing. The infrastructure is advanced. The people are innovative, hard-working and super-friendly. The vibe is vibrant and the scenery breath-taking. It’s a far cry from its media portrayal. Join us at the Global Sourcing Summit in Cape Town to experience the country first-hand and crate your own impressions. Be a part of it.
