WOMEN IN SOURCING

In 2016, we launched our Women in Sourcing Initiative to encourage the industry to embrace social inclusion and remind everyone that gender equality is everyone’s issue

This year, we continue to actively push this initiative to the sourcing industry as we aim to reach our target of filling 30% of senior positions in the sourcing industry with women.

We at the GSA are committed to transforming our industry for the benefit of our members. By joining the Women in Sourcing Initiative, you will be helping us in this commitment by improving the industry’s record on female participation and social inclusion.

Companies already participating in this initiative include KPMG, BBC, BP, MoJ, IBM, Schroders, Bank of Ireland, Colliers international, Centrica, Ricoh, npower, Zurich, Capgemini, UCAS, Capita and many more…

Women in Sourcing – Mentoring PROGRAMME

We are calling on sourcing professionals to help shape the future of the sourcing industry.

We need dedicated and generouous sourcing professionals to donate some of their time to be a mentor and boost the careers of women looking to excel in sourcing. If you wish to be a mentor, male or female, the industry needs you!

The Mentoring Programme has been developed to support our aim to of filling 30% of senior positions in the sourcing industry with women by 2020.

The programme incoorporates:

  • The development of a Directory of Mentors
  • A matchmaking programme – matching Mentors and Mentees around the world
  • Free masterclasses on how to mentor, delivered by GSA’s Professional Development division
  • An online sharing forum – to share experiences, successes, ideas, etc.
  • A series of inspirational female speakers keynoting across GSA’s calendar of events
  • With nine women fulfilling key roles in the GSA's Member Council, we are delighted to announce Emma Mansfield (Head of Outsourced Services Assurance, Bank of Ireland UK) and Joanne Webber (Outsourcing Commercial Manager, npower) as our Women in Sourcing Leads to help drive this programme.
