National Savings & Investment (NS&I) has launched a procurement for a business process outsourcing deal that could be worth up to £2bn and provide a role in other areas of government for the successful bidder.

It has informed potential suppliers of a tender for a partner to manage the operational components of its business, including IT, systems upgrade, call centres and back office transactional services.
