Contracting Workstream Launch

From discussions on the Contracting Stage at the GSA’s Festival of Sourcing it was clear there were a number of areas in contracting for strategic sourcing that require industry collaboration to develop and improve the best practice. As such the GSA is setting up a new contracting workstream to develop thought leadership and best practice on key areas to include, but not be limited to:

• Reinforcing sourcing best practice vis a vis contracting
• A look to new contracting models and the relational contract
• Moving to Standard terms to eliminate time wasting clauses unnecessarily
• The role of AI, blockchain and other new techs in contracting
• Contracting for the open talent economy
• The rapid prominence of ESG

This GSA workstream is calling upon practitioners from the whole cross-section of the industry to work with us to drive this new thinking and best practice forward. Whether you are on the buy- or supply-side or represent a law firm of advisory and are frustrated by any aspect of contracting, then please do get involved to help drive a program of change.
