35 years of the GSA. 2 days of celebration. A sourcing event like never before.

As we emerged from the pandemic and into the GSA's 35th anniversary year, we had a vision for a very different kind of event – something very distinct to the traditional conference. The world has changed, and we believe the work we do for our members and with our members needs to reflect that. We wanted our first face to face event post-pandemic to be a truly immersive experience, jam-packed with thought leadership, numerous opportunities to network and socialise, in an open and airy environment. An industry focused festival offered the perfect solution.

On the 4th and 5th July 2022, Sourcing Professionals came together. in their Hawaiian shirts and wearing flower crowns, on an island on the Thames to celebrate the industry and to share, learn and collaborate on a multitude of topics impacting our industry right now. The Festival of Sourcing was a wholly immersive experience – we crafted an agenda which is focused on mixing dynamic thought leadership with interactive breakouts to discuss the how and ways our industry is evolving. Content was split across multiple stages including Strategic Sourcing, Technology, Sustainability and ESG, Talent, Customer Experience and Contracting. We discussed standardising contracts, tackling the talent crisis, hyper growth and hyperscalers, the metaverse and NFTs, open talent, supplier diversity, standard ESG questionnaires for service providers and how to ethically contract for new technologies, amongst lots more.
